Can I change Annabella to Annabelle

Second Sophia

MistressPhoenix · 15/11/2021 15:31

I like Sophia.

DramaAlpaca · 15/11/2021 15:33

I like Sophia, Dorothea, Jemima and Orla.

Not the rest.

Iamacatslave · 15/11/2021 15:33

Dorothea.

TaraLewis · 15/11/2021 15:35

Margot Is decent, not any made up spellings of it.

Also like Jemima Sophia and Tabitha

EdgeOfACoin · 15/11/2021 15:35

Sophia, Orla, Jemima

chesirecat99 · 15/11/2021 15:36

They are all lovely.

You seem to like unusual, slightly frilly, long names. Sophia and Orla are both lovely but don't really fit into that category.

I really don't like Margo. Margaux or Margot are much prettier spellings. Along with Sophia and Orla, it's also a lot more popular than the other names.

Personally, I don't like Belle nor Aurora as much as your other choices. because of the Disney association. I also prefer Belle as a nickname (maybe for Annabella) rather than as a full name, it's a bit too twee for a standalone name.

yikesanotherbooboo · 15/11/2021 15:36

Dorothea
Jemima
Annabel (not Annabella)
I wouldn't spell Margot 'Margaux'

Rodion · 15/11/2021 15:37

Tabitha
Jemima
Dorothea (prefer Dorothy though)

Dislike Araminta and Perdita.

The others are all in the middle somewhere.

toastofthetown · 15/11/2021 15:40

Perdita is by far the best name on your list, followed by Orla and Tabitha.

My favourite spelling of Margo is Margot, and the name is way too trendy for me. Aurora also fits into this. Jemima is a very racially charged name in the USA so if you plan to spend much time there then I would avoid that.

FelicityPike · 15/11/2021 15:41

Sophia….fine, if a little overused.
Dorothea….fine.
Margaux /Margo….spell it “properly” Margot.
Tabitha….fine, but it’s a cats name.
Annabella…very upperclass wannabe.
Aurora…blugh.
Jemima….fine, but Puddleduck.
Araminta….NO.
Belle…I don’t like it.
Anoushka….is she Russian?
Perdita….Pongo and…..
Orla….spell it Órlaith (for me that’s the proper spelling)

MerryChristmasToYou · 15/11/2021 15:44

Sophia - nice but so overused
Dorothea - much prefer Dorothy
Margaux - horrible spelling
Margo - ok but Margot is popular
Tabitha - not keen
Annabella - Anna and Annabel are much nicer
Aurora - dislike
Jemima - favourite
Araminta - not keen, too long
Belle - End
Anoushka - ok, know a few, all of Indian heritage
Perdita - ok
Orla - nice in an irish accent, otherwise meh

AnyaMoondial · 15/11/2021 16:51

Really love Araminta

Shasha17 · 15/11/2021 16:54

Sophia - pretty, but SO overdone it´s almost ruined it
Dorothea - beautiful but a little frilly
Margaux - very nice but becoming very trendy
Margo - see above, although I prefer Margot spelling to either Margo or Margaux
Tabitha - I have a Tabitha and I love this name. I think it´s uncommon but familiar, a little quirky but with a strong and lovely biblical connection. Classic but not dull
Annabella - much prefer Annabelle. Annabella is a too much, becomes a little naff
Aurora - a name which is very beautiful when rare, but which is at risk of becoming naff when very common, which it´s becoming
Jemima - adore, see comments for Tabitha
Araminta - I don´t like this. I just don´t like the sound of it
Belle - pretty but a bit cutesy
Anoushka - like this name, rare and beautiful
Perdita - i don´t like it but it´s not bad
Orla - a little dull compared to the others, but pretty enough

I would choose Dorothea, Anoushka, Tabitha, or Jemima

WeDidntMeanToGoToSea · 15/11/2021 16:55

Dorothea. By miles.

Sophia is wonderful but very overused atm. Orla is nice but isn't it an anglicised version of an Irish name, so perhaps a bit appropriated? I semi-like Anoushka but I believe it's a diminutive and not sure I think a diminutive as a formal name is great.

Not keen at all on any of the others. Perdita stands out as a terrible choice. I know it's Shakespearean but why would you want to call your child 'lost'? Margo and Margaux scream 'trendy'.

16HamstersCalledThemAllDave · 15/11/2021 19:11

Love Perdita and Margot.

Courtier · 15/11/2021 19:12

Margo, Anoushka, Tabitha

sunglassesonthetable · 15/11/2021 19:13

Permits, Dorothea and Araminta .

sunglassesonthetable · 15/11/2021 19:14

Permits🤦‍♀️

Perdita

BruiserWoods · 15/11/2021 19:15

Perdita is terrible. Hate it.
Aurora is hard to say.
Tabitha a cats name.

The others are ok.

Annabel, Margot and Jemima are lovely.
Sophia is nice too. V pop but because it's a nice name.

toolazytothinkofausername · 15/11/2021 19:15

I really like Aurora as I love the idea of Rory as a nickname :)

AnnaSW1 · 15/11/2021 19:16
