I love Finn it was the first name on my list. Robert is another name I thought of for the middle name. Leworthy is the surname. Does the whole name flow well?

No one will ever use the middle name so it's sort of irrelevant to anyone but close family. Finn Leworthy is fine.

Looks fine.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 11/11/2021 08:00

It sounds like Finley Worthy if (as you typically do) you omit the middle name.

WeatherwaxOn · 11/11/2021 08:01

The only issue I potentially see is that in speech, the first name and surname could run into one another, and people might initially think the name is Finlay Worthy.

Barwell76 · 11/11/2021 08:01

I thought Finley Worthy as well

LakesideView · 11/11/2021 08:09

I also imagine you may have to spell out your surname to people? (we do with our family name) so with “Finn” he may have to explain it’s just Finn with two N’s and then would have to spell his surname. Given our surname with went for a name without optional spellings for this reason.

It is a nice name but I agree that people will think he is called Finley Worthy when it is said out loud.

WhoppingBigBackside · 12/11/2021 15:28

The middle name is better than the first name
IMO. Finn and Finlay are very popular

Irishfarmer · 12/11/2021 15:54

It's popular but I think Finn is a lovely name. It's popular for a reason.

WhoppingBigBackside · 12/11/2021 16:28

So was Darren at the time

I like Robert Finn better. Robert is a lovely name and underused.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 15/11/2021 21:55

My first thought was it sounds like Finley Worthy too - Finley is a top 20 name, as well as Finlay being quite popular so I think lots of people might think this. Similar Flynn might make this slightly less likely? Robert's a lovely classic whether used as a first or middle imo.

I think that people posting a whole name like this must realise that, if used, the thus-named child will find the thread (and any negative comments) upon googling their name.

HeadlessGummyBears · 16/11/2021 01:53

It’s a lovely name but I also would prefer Robert Finn Leworthy just avoid any spelling mishaps in the future.
