Baby Name and Partner Name

My partners name is Luke but we both have fell in love with the name Luca for our bubs! Does anyone think the names are far too similar? Is it odd to have a Luke and a Luca?! I keep going round in circles!

since forever kids have been given parents names or similar. If you like it - have it.

I think that’s fine, and I would assume you’ve chosen it because it’s similar to dp’s name.

There’s a lot of families pipit there who use the same name for father and son.

I wouldn't do it personally. It's the same name (albeit from a different language). But people do do it. I know brothers John and Jack which I also find bizarre. But it doesn't make it wrong....
