River is a perfectly acceptable first name. Lyons a perfectly normal surname.

But you can’t put two nouns together. Or two names that both sound like nouns. It’s just weird.

Lions River is a real place

I don’t think anyone is saying River is a horrible name - I personally like it. The issue is their surname is Lions.

Use a Scottish middle name to go with Scottish surname
