Which name would you choose?

Last thread about girl's names, I promise!

We want a biblical first name. Middle names have family links but chosen more so because we think they're pretty! So which name would you choose from our three final girl names?

Lydia Violet
Miriam Iris
Magdalena Joy

Magdalena Violet!

Lydia Violet is lovely !

Lydia Joy has a nice flow to it.

I also love Phoebe and Esther as biblical girls names

I feel Magdalena Joy is a very religious, v overt religious links so too much together. I can see you went with a 1 syllable middle name but just...too much.

I love Miriam as a name and especially shortened to Miri. Any of the middle names would be great with it.

Lydia Violet is a great option but Lydia Joy is truly beautiful!

It seems that Lydia is the winner! And while I do LOVE Lydia, I feel weirdly disappointed that it's not Miriam Iris! Maybe that shows me that I subconsciously prefer Miriam? Lydia has no nickname options really, does it, whereas my other children have longer biblical names with nice short nicknames too. I wonder if this is what's making me prefer Miriam, as I do love nn Miri

It does sound as though you prefer Miriam! Miri, Mim and Mimi are all great nicknames and there don't seem to be lots of Miriams; it's not an overused name.

My second choice is Lydia Violet, I’m not at all keen on Miriam

Lydia violet or Lydia Joy is a good suggestion.

I'm not that keen on Miriam, I think it's really dowdy but I know a Miriam who goes by Mimi which is better
