Girls name Zadie?

Really fallen in love with this name but my husband thinks it's mean to go with this as they will be forever correcting people that it's Zadie and not Sadie...
But my argument is that there are loads of other names that sound similar or rhyme like Sara/Zara and Lara/Lyra/Layla etc Lacie/Lucie etc.
What do you guys think?
Quite like Imogen as a middle name so it could be Zadie Imogen...

I'd assume you were a fan of Zadie Smith as she's the only Zadie I've heard of. It would constantly be misheard as Sadie though, for sure.

I prefer Zadie to Sadie as it doesn't begin with Sad.

I quite like Zadie, more than Sadie actudlly, but make sure your surname doesn’t give the initials ZIP, ZIT or similar!

The initials would be ZIB if we went with Imogen as a middle name. Can't think of anything negative that this means or stands for??🤔

Zadie is lovely go for it ! Was top of my girl list before knowing a boy... She may have to say "Zadie with a Z" but to be honest I have a very common name and have to do that anyway!

I love the name Zadie! And love Zadie Smith. My favourite by her is NW.

I wanted to call my second DD Dorothea with Dodie as a nickname. DH vetoed but I feel like it’s similar to Zadie.

This. An old school friend of mine was known by her middle name, because had the names her parents gave her had gone in order, they'd have spelt JEW.

Her dad was a CofE vicar, and was quite vocal about her not being pegged as a Jew. Even (very Jewish!) 11yo me was a bit baffled that they couldn't find any other names they loved!

Could have been worse though. There was a kid in our year whose initials were ARSE. Poor sod.
