Don’t relegate Elizabeth to a middle name, it’s a beautiful name. My Elizabeth goes by Libby now and her middle name is Louise after a member of my family. It’s such a timeless, elegant name, I always thought it would take her anywhere.

Its a great middle name, esp if they don't like their 1st name. Beth, Betty, Liz, Lizzy etc can all be options. Do you like nature, classic, modern names? How many syllables is the surname? I'd normally go for a 1 or max 2 syllable 1st name with Elizabeth.

Some lovely suggestions. Thank you so much, I was thinking of using it as a first name (love Libby and Betsy as nn), partner isn’t too keen, hence the compromise of a middle name. Our surname is also 3 syllables x

It's a family name for us - used as middle and first names.

I love Libby and also Beth but I also love the full name. DD has a friend called Eliza which I also love.

I love the name Elizabeth. I'm one so very biased. Honestly if it wasn't my name I'd have used it for my daughter. It's her middle name.

She's Cerys Elizabeth.
Frances also goes very well with Elizabeth.

My middle name is Elizabeth, good choice . I'd go with something quite short, 2 syllables and equally as 'classic' to go with it, these spring to mind;
