We are stuck on a middle name that goes with Lydia. Please can you rate / comment on our suggestions and it would be great to hear any additional ones. Surname begins with a B and so we’d probably avoid names beginning with B.
Lydia Esther
Lydia Alice
Lydia Christina
Lydia Holly
Thanks in advance.

I feel like it needs to be a 1 syllable name

I think Lydia Rose works particularly well!

Because Lydia ends in a vowel sound, middle names beginning with a vowel won't flow. From your list, Christina and Holly are fine. Lydia Esther doesn't flow, but on the other hand Esther Lydia does.

I really like Lydia Jasmine, it's very pretty. Lydia Rose is also lovely, but Rose is used so often as a middle name it'd be nice to have something a bit different.

I’d go for a one syllable name…speaking from experience Smile

Lydia Rose?

Lydia 3 syllables so best 1 for 2nd name in my humble opinion. Do you have any family names suitable without rocking boats

Lydia Rose Thanks

Thanks for all the suggestions. Love Lydia Rose but DH cousin just used Rose as a middle name! Christina is a family name but worried this one is too long. Should we change it to Christine? Can’t use Grace as used for young family members already too. Jasmine, Holly Alice and (less so) Esther are still contenders. Agree with trying to keep middle name short as first name is three syllables.

I would use one of the family names as the middle name. They both are Ok with Lydia and I prefer middle names that have meaning
