I'll throw in Tansy as a bonus. Always liked it. Rarely see it, not sure why.

Other flower/tree/plant names: May, Hazel, Heather, Rowan, Jasmine, Lilac, Pansy, Viola, Veronica, Hebe, Dahlia, Honeysuckle, Tulip, Jonquil, Hyacinth, Buttercup, Willow, Sage, Rosemary, Ivy. Some of those would be easier to live with than others ...

I also prefer the more uncommon floral ones - May, Linnea, Dahlia and Jessamine. But:

1.Rose - elegant and classic/traditional/timeless

  1. Iris - has the benefit of being as classical (Mythology) as it is floral
  2. Lily - very pretty and fairly classic sounding
-Big gap-
  1. Violet - retro trendy, plus the "Violent" thing. Viola is nicer imo.
5.Daisy - too cutesy, but at I suppose it's cutesy in a traditional way.
  1. Poppy - too cutesy and sounds more "modern" too, so really not my taste.

All dreadfully wet and dull in my opinion. The people I know who’ve got those names are definitely not flowery, sweet people.
