I’ve been really liking the name Emmett lately, but I’m having trouble thinking of a good middle name to go with it. Any suggestions?

Thank you!

I like the name Emmett, and I love the suggestion of Emmett Alexander, I think that sounds really strong and distinguished.

@Kanaloa, I agree!

Emmett or an Emmet is the slang term for tourist in Cornwall. I love it as a name but couldn't use it due to our location.

James immediately sprung to my mind.

Yes, it means ant in Old English, and in Cornwall it’s a derogatory word for a tourist. It will be the first thing to come to mind for anyone from the West Country or who has spent holidays there.

… but as long as you live somewhere where that’s not a problem, I like Emmett Michael.

South West. Grockels where I am now.

SweatyAmy · 11/09/2021 13:44

I've only heard Emmett used as a slang for tourists by my Cornish friends. Don't think it would be an issue outside of the South West.

Emmett Alexander is lovely.
