Would be used with a very unusual, pretty, one syllable middle name.

It's okay but I prefer Alison. Alison would be great in a crisis whereas Alice would just stand there with her lip wibbling.

This made me laugh because it perfectly reflects the Alices and Alisons I know - but despite it I prefer Alice!

I love it, it was my nan's name and I always wanted to name a daughter that to honour her, but only had boys!!!

This “wet name” stuff is really ticking me. Guess I don’t see being wet as the worst personality trait to have 🤣🤣🤣

My Alice is 32 and she was named after my great Aunt born in 1905.

It does get shortened to Ally and Al (not by me) but she doesn't mind.

Oh and my Alice is as hard as nails and would be first to pile into a fight

The ones I know are super wet and drippy which has skewed my view

Haha I don’t know many at all so can’t comment on the wet vs. hard as nails debate!!

I do know though that we’re more of a quiet, reflective, indoorsy family and are not at all brash or bossy or overly practical either!! So maybe it will suit her, I can’t see her being a loud ringleader if she’s anything like the rest of us 😉

Brace yourself, because now that you've typed that out you've more or less guaranteed that your Alice will an outdoorsy, extrovert whirlwind!

Oh my Alice is quick witted as fuck, sarcastic and bloody great fun. Very horsey.

To me, it's the ultimate wet name. Just reminds me of a painfully shy 8 year old child.

I’ve been feistly challenging that image for more than 50 years.

I’m going to go against the grain and say I don’t like it at all, but I am basing on a rather nasty Alice that I used to know.
