We’re looking for a boys name that fits nicely with his big sister Margot. We love the name Gilbert (Gil / Bertie) and also love the name Hamish (no real nickname). Which one do you think works better? Thanks. Xx

I'd say Gilbert out of the two. I am in the minority though, it would seem.

If you like shortened names then why not simply Gibb?
I like Hampshire and none of the Hamishes I’ve known has had a shortened version.

Hamish- but only if you’re Scottish. Gilbert is meh.

I like both, but I think Gilbert goes well. It’s a great name.

Love both names
I also love Tobias

We are on the same page with Gilbert 👍🏼 (Blythe - swoon) I personally think it goes better with Margot than Hamish. Not very popular with others though! Thanks for your feedback and other options, I love Reuben and Barnaby.
