I love Niamh, Sophia and Emilia. We used Emilia for my daughter's middle name and I wish we'd used it for her first name.

I like Eliza, Thea and Alexis as middle names.

40notout40 · 11/08/2021 09:04

Like Niamh (spelt this way the best)
Emilia and Sophia both very nice, but hugely popular if that bothers you?
Nell - fine, but don't love it
Paige- dislike, very dated and quite American sounding

Ricekrispie22 · 11/08/2021 09:37

I love Sophia and Emilia.

Sophia Ruby
Sophia Beatrix
Sophia Jasmine
Sophia Charlotte
Sophia Lucy

Emilia Sophie
Emilia Jasmine
Emilia Ruby
Emilia Zoe

Love alliterative names. Nell N... would be great

Balonzette · 11/08/2021 10:18

I LOVE Nell and Niamh is lovely too! Emilia and Sophia would be nice but they have been really overdone in my area and it's ruined them. I don't like Paige.

I think Nell would need a middle name that didn't start with a vowel because the ones that do run into each other a little (because of the ending 'l' sound I think.)
Nell Matilda
Nell Tabitha
Nell Martha
Nell Rosa
Nell Josephine

Niamh Iris
Niamh Ariana
Niamh Charlotte
Niamh Emilia
Niamh Daisy

Potatoy · 11/08/2021 10:22

Niamh or Paige are my faves

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 11/08/2021 12:15

Sophia Abigail
Sophia Belle

Emilia Violet
Emilia Beth
Emilia Kate
Emilia Ray
Emilia Willow
Emilia Paige

Emilia Robin
Emilia Jane
Emilia Jo

Neave or niamh or Neve
Sophia
Emilia
Paige
Nell (favourite of the week)

Nell is my favourite but the others are ok.
How does it sound with the surname?

blameitonthecaffeine · 11/08/2021 18:49

I really like Niamh and Sophia.

Emilia and Paige are ok.

I really don't like Nell.

I think Sophia and Emilia would need a middle name such as
Anne, Belle, Claire, Faith, Fern, Faye, Hope, Jade, Jane, Joy, Kate, Maeve, Pearl, Quinn, Tess, Wren

And I think Niamh, Nell and Paige would work better with a longer middle name like
Alannah, Abigail, Beatrice, Camilla, Clarissa, Elizabeth, Francesca, Georgina, Harriet, Imogen, Juliette, Joanna, Katrina, Lucinda, Miranda, Olivia, Rebecca, Rhiannon, Susannah, Tabitha, Victoria

Why not Helen or Helena, and Nell for short?

Nurseynoodles · 11/08/2021 19:05

Way more Sophia and Emilia/Amelia than Grace or Rose’s in my area. Sophia is especially popular.

OrangeAndYellowAndBlue · 11/08/2021 19:18

I love Niamh.

How about Julia or Juliet as a middle name?

luciasanta · 11/08/2021 19:19

I think all of your options are really lovely Smile Sophia is a bit more boring than the others and Emilia very popular too. Niamh definitely spelled like this.

How about Niamh Paige? Nell Emilia?

Babydust13 · 12/08/2021 21:50

I love Emilia my second choice would be Paige

TatianaBis · 12/08/2021 22:03

Love Nell.

Paige is very dated 80s American.
Sophia and Emilia are a bit meh and everywhere. Fine as a middle name.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 12/08/2021 22:17

Nell is beautiful and my favourite but it's getting trendier so I personally prefer it as a nn for more classic Helena or Eleanor (just in case it dates her). Niamh is lovely, although to be honest I'd assume some Irish heritage (maybe not if you spelt it Neve I suppose). Alliterative names can be nice and memorable.

Emilia is pretty but the confusion with Amelia would bug me. Equally Sophia is beautiful, providing you don't care about popularity. Paige isn't my taste - if you like one syllable names I prefer classic Rose or Eve or maybe Tess.

TatianaBis · 12/08/2021 22:24

I think Nell is classic and Eleanor is ghastly.

3ormorecharacters · 12/08/2021 22:24

Nell short for Eleanor is lovely. And gives lots of alternatives for the future if she wants to change it up a bit as she grows - could be known as Eleanor / Ella / Ellie / Nora.

Chilldonaldchill · 12/08/2021 23:17

Neave or niamh or Neve - Niamh is nice; I don't like the other spellings at all.
Sophia - ok. I know too many to be excited by it to be honest.
Emilia - I do love this.
Paige - I really really don't like this. To be it has a totally different feel to your other names which are classic and elegant.
Nell (favourite of the week) - I love this too but prefer as a nn for Eleanor.

I would pick Emilia or Nell.

How about:
Emilia Lucy
Emilia Katherine
Emilia Beatrice
Emilia Sophie
Emilia Florence
or
Nell Amelie
Nell Sophia
Nell Emilia
Nell Rebecca
Nell Freya
Nell Constance
