I like Heidi and think of it as Austrian/German/Swiss. I knew a lovely Heidi which definitely changed my view of the name.
Think if I hadn’t I would not like it interestingly. Feels ‘thin’ with so many condiments if I really think about it. Also seems a very ‘young’ name.
But I like it because of great woman.

Consonants not condiments ffs (quite a good auto correct there). More to the point I meant ‘vowels’ anyway !

Monkeytapper I have a Heidi Elizabeth too she's the only one in her very large secondary and was always the only one in primary. There is another Heidi living in our village she's 50

Love it! I wanted to call dd Heidi but unfortunately dh wasn't keen.

It’s OK. A bit cutesy for me but I see it as a ‘happy’ name and it’s simple, straightforward, not excessively common etc.

Could never use it myself as I have a Greta and the pair of them would sound like they’d escaped from a Grimm’s fairytale!

I agree with PP that Clara is a lovely name too, and thematically similar.
