I like Isobel.

I find Ella really wet and dull to be honest and there are sooooo many Millie’s and Ella’s and Ruby’s. I don’t like Millie as it’s more of a nickname.

I like Isabella but again it’s very popular.

Everly is more unusual.

IggyAce · 09/08/2021 22:19

Imogen, love it but then I’m biased as it’s my dd name.
Isobel, like but popular
Isabella popular & a little too frilly for me.
Ella -popular & boring.
Everly- like, quite unusual.
Millie - it’s ok but not my taste.
Ruby - quite popular a few years ago.
Rosalie - love this it would have been my choice for dc2 if he’d been a girl.

Blamelesscars · 09/08/2021 22:23

Imogen but bias as it’s my DD name.

Otherwise out of your list Rosalie or Ruby. I just think they’re really pretty

I have always like Isobel but weirdly I find some many people miss spell it because Isabel is more popular and as someone with a name you constantly have to spell out it’s annoying!

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 09/08/2021 22:24

They’re all nice enough names. However on a personal level. I only really like Everly and Isabella Although I’d never use it as I can’t abide Izzy or Bella.

Ruby Millie and Rosalie aren’t too bad.
I detest Ella it’s one of those names that irritates me.

I like the vibe of Imogen but not the sound. It makes me think of fairies princesses and unicorns.Grin.
What makes you so sure it’s going to be a girl though.

Thatsnotmypolarbear · 09/08/2021 22:30

Imogen - beautiful, nearly called DD2 this
Isobel - pretty but a but overused
Isabella - bit frilly
Ella - so many Ellas and Ellies around
Everly - nope
Millie - nope - horrid on a grown woman
Ruby - ok, possibly a bit naff, similar to Jasmine or Jade
Rosalie - nice, prefer Rose or Rosa

SirVixofVixHall · 09/08/2021 22:34

Imogen, lovely, I have an adult cousin with this name.
Isobel, also lovely.
I don’t like the others apart from Rosalie, which was the name of someone in my family .

Thanks for your reply! I'm not sure it's going to be a girl, I did a separate thread for boys names lol x

Really wish I liked Imogen but it sounds like a medicine or tech company to me. It's okay, Too many Millies, Isobels, Rubys and Ellas. Rosalie is most interesting and is very pretty. Everly is quite American.

Yeah I think I am most keen on Rosalie at the moment and Rosie for a nick name Smile

What are your fave girls names if you have any? X

I think Ella is a bit nothingy, Millie is sweet but better as a diminutive and I don't like Everly, it's a surname.

I really like the rest, especially Ruby & Rosalie.

diddlediddle · 09/08/2021 23:23

Ruby is nice. All the others are pretty ubiquitous and have multiple versions of the same thing that are all common at the moment.

Junipersky · 10/08/2021 18:49

Imogen - I neither like nor dislike.
Isobel - I really like Isobel and like this spelling too. Most of the ones I know are spelt Isabelle.
Isabella - I love this. I prefer Bella to Izzy but love the full name too.
Ella - I think this is pretty. It was really popular when I had my daughter who is almost 18, but I don't hear of so many now.
Everly - I like the sound of it, but prefer Evelyn.
Millie - One of my favourites. Love this.
Ruby - Neither like nor dislike.
Rosalie - I really like and never met one - apart from a much loved ragdoll I had as a child.

My favourites from your list are Isabella, Millie and Rosalie.

I also really like Clara, Rosanna and Matilda.

IndiaMay · 10/08/2021 19:12

Imogen - I love but wouldnt use as too popular
Isobel - same as above
Isabella - same as above
Ella - dont like and too popular
Everly - very American
Millie - meh
Ruby - bit common. Like someone said above it's a bit like Jade or Jasmin. Also Amber.
Rosalie - LOVE
