Hi

I have fallen in love with the name Tovie/Tovey for a girl

Is this an actual name and what are the opinions is it way out there? I've personally never heard of it before until I saw it on a name site last night..

Thanks

If you have to ask whether it’s a real name then I’d say steer clear. Would something like Victoria work with Tori/Tovi as a nickname?

Put an S on the front and it will be good enough to eat.

I don't like it, it sounds somehow harsh

Could be a Finnish name, think Tove Jansson who wrote the Moomins.

Makes me think of Tove Lo, I think she's Swedish. Pretty name, but nobody knows how to pronounce it.
