What do you all think of "Elise" for a girl? x

I think it's really pretty. I met one on holiday when I was about ten and really envied her lovely name and I was stuck with a hideously fogey one

Pretty name, I picture an elegant French girl when I hear it.

It's lovely, it's my Sister's name and spelt just how you have spelt it

I had three Elises in my year in primary school. One was spelt Elisse though with the two ss. Never since then have I encountered the name on mass just the odd Elise now and then.

Bad association for me, only ever met one and she was a complete sociopath. It sounds pretty enough though although I'd think more of an older woman when I heard it?

We have an Elise in the family, love it, but she often gets called Elsie by people reading it wrong!

It nice but the one I known is often mistakenly call Elsie

Not keen but it's a perfectly acceptable name

My sisters name is Elisse ( she's 31 ) ive always thought it's a beautiful name & she gets lots of compliments. Parents did change original spelling from Elise to Elisse after a month as she kept getting called Elsie!

Lovely, I find it very sophisticated.

Really pretty without being overly “frilly”. It was on our list but we had two boys.

Pretty name, I like Eliza as well. For some reason I much prefer Elise to Alice although they’re quite similar.
