It's so dated to me. When my son was being christened, we had to go and see the priest, along with a few other parents. The priest loved our choice ( traditional Catholic), but refused to christen another child, Hazel. He said it was the name for a nut.
It was quite shocking ( even 30 years ago). I do believe the mother went ahead, though I can't be certain.
