Lilah too similar to Layla?

The name Lilah (pronounced lie-la) is on our list for dd2 due in October.
However dhs good friend has a dd named Layla (pronounced lay-la) she is also dhs goddaughter.
Are these names too similar? Would it be odd if we picked this name as we are close to this friend?

Too similar for siblings, but not a problem for friends.

Absolutely fine

Too similar for siblings, but I wouldn't rule out a name because a friend has used it.

Totally different names

As others have said, it would be too similar for siblings but it's fine for friends.

I wouldn't have used a name so similar to my best friend's children. Other friends absolutely.
