Love it. Considered it myself along with Ocean.

Absolutely love, has been on my girls name list for years (have a DS), not sure if I'm brave enough to use it though if next baby is a girl. But if you are and you love it, I'd go for it.

Avalon Harmonia was Cyndi Lauper's character in Bones. She was a quirky psychic.

I didn't think of savalon when I heard it.

Am now singing the gorgeous Roxy music song - which as the name is quite unusual, I suspect your DD will have to get used to if you use it OP! I understand why you are tempted though - Avalon has a beautiful, quite feminine sound imo.

I'd consider similar Albion if you want a boys "version" - more masculine sounding and has the commonplace nn "Al" or "Albie" , just as Avalon could be "Ava or "Lonni" etc if she wanted .

It makes me think of The Mists Of Avalon, which I read a million years ago.
Also Glastonbury incense shops.
And Roxy Music.
