Love Maria

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 20/06/2021 14:36

I like Nina best

FreddieLounds · 20/06/2021 14:38

Nina is, to my mind, by far the most interesting. The others are all perfectly pleasant names but maybe a bit dull, or I've just heard them too many times...

FreddieLounds · 20/06/2021 14:40

(well, part from Merryn, which is not dull or commonly heard, but I really don't like it.)

AllTheUsernamesAreAlreadyTaken · 20/06/2021 14:42

Nina or Anna

DramaAlpaca · 20/06/2021 14:46

I don't like Nina, it's a bit nothingy. Daisy is sweet but twee.

The rest are all fine.

My own favourites are Alice, Emma, Anna, Lucy, Louisa and Jane.

SamG93 · 20/06/2021 14:49

Nina is lovely. I think Sophia and Emily are too popular..

Ellmau · 20/06/2021 16:05

Anna, Lucy and Sophia are my favourites, in that order.

Havanalily1806 · 20/06/2021 16:17

I like Nina and Daisy from those

katielou987 · 20/06/2021 16:22

Alice, Sophia and Daisy are my favourites 😍

ILoveShula · 20/06/2021 17:16

Alice - love
Emma - love
Anna -like
Emily - ok
Lucy - like
Merryn - don't like
Nina - ok
Louisa - like but Louise is better
Jane - love
Maria - like
Sophie - like a lot
Sophia - overused
Gabrielle - not keen
Charlotte - fine
Daisy - twee

I would remove Gabrielle, Merryn. Sophia and Daisy

Nina, Lucy, Charlotte, Anna and Emily are probably too popular, if that's a problem

Pawprints2017 · 20/06/2021 17:32

Alice (would use it myself) Emily (timeless), Nina or Sofia. I know a Nina and it's a lovely name. I also discussed the name Sofia with my partner when pregnant. It was a boy though.

Hippohappiness · 21/06/2021 08:57

Alice - nice, classic
Emma - pretty but a bit dull
Anna - very dull
Emily - dull and a bit frilly for my liking
Lucy - lovely, classic
Merryn - quite like, unusual
Nina - love it
Louisa - bit dated
Jane - deathly boring
Maria - ok, feels a bit religious for me
Sophie - pretty but very popular
Sophia - as above
Gabrielle - reminds me of the singer
Charlotte - dull and a bit too royal for me
Daisy - cutesy and reminds me of cows

I'd go for Nina. Second choice Merryn, if I was feeling adventurous. You can't really go wrong with Lucy, Sophie / Sophia or Alice, but they're obviously more popular if that bothers you.

MissyB1 · 21/06/2021 09:04

Love these ones;
Alice
Merryn
Jane
Maria

RainingZen · 21/06/2021 09:05

Gabrielle is lovely, Merryn is beautiful. The rest are very meh and overused.

RickOShay · 21/06/2021 09:09

Love Anna and Nina, and I don’t meet any little ones, and only know a few adults.
For me those two are the loveliest.

RickOShay · 21/06/2021 09:09

Next would be Emma and Louisa.
Not keen on the rest.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 21/06/2021 15:05

You have got mostly classic names on your list and then a few more unusual choices, so it's a bit of a mix.

I particularly love Jane, Anna, Alice, Nina and Louisa - all sound particularly elegant and pretty to me and Louisa and (especially) Jane are fairly uncommon now.

However I also think you can't go wrong with traditional Emma, Emily, Charlotte, Sophie, Sophia, Maria or Lucy (although Lucy isn't my personal taste and Sophie/Sophia/Sofia is having a bit of a popular "moment").

I don't hate Merryn but it stands out in comparison (and may be quite soundalike with popular Erin?), Gabrielle feels slightly dated and Daisy is too cutesy sounding for me.

countrypunk · 21/06/2021 15:23

I think Merryn is absolutely lovely and I don't know anyone - child or adult - called it. All the rest are totally overused and just a bit... beige. I say Merryn!

Posieandpip · 21/06/2021 15:27

Merryn, Nina and Maria are gorgeous, they are classy and classic but also seem freah unlike the others which, while beautiful, are a little overdone and seem bland now.

Posieandpip · 21/06/2021 15:30

miltonj · 21/06/2021 15:37

Got to be Jane! Smile

Anna most definitely

Junipersky · 21/06/2021 17:32

Alice - I like. One of my daughter's middle names after one of her great grandmas
Emma - Love this. Always wanted to be called Emma as a child and still love it now. I think it's one of those names that never dates.
Anna - Again another of my favourites. My daughter is Hannah.
Emily - I have always liked.
Lucy - One of my favourites and the name I would have chosen for the baby I miscarried if a girl.
Merryn - Never heard, but sounds pretty and unusual.
Nina - Not over keen.
Louisa - I like.
Jane - I really like. I'd love to hear this in use again for little ones.
Maria - Pretty. Reminds me of my Gran's lovely next door neighbour.
Sophie - This was always on my short list. DS would have been called this if a girl.
Sophia - Probably my favourite from your list. So pretty.
Gabrielle - Not over keen.
Charlotte - Pretty and classic. Also love Lottie.
Daisy - I also really like.
