Katie

JaninaDuszejko · 13/06/2021 14:22

Those are quite different styles of names but are all proper names so all are good. I like Catherine (nn Katie) best then Suzanne and least keen on Rhiannon. If Katie was going on the BC I prefer Suzanne.

partyatthepalace · 13/06/2021 15:42

Susannah is lovely, I’d go for that
Suzanne is very naff 70s/80s (unless you are French)

Rhiannon is nice

Katie is very 90s - if you do use it I’d call her Katherine or Catriona etc so she has some options

MerryChristmasToYou · 13/06/2021 19:40

Katie

LowryLake · 13/06/2021 20:13

Rhiannon is beautiful. Katie is quite sweet. I find Suzanne a bit 'meh', and really dislike Suzy as a nn.

Chilldonaldchill · 13/06/2021 20:19

Suzanne is ok but very 70s. Susannah is much much nicer.
Katie is ok but Katherine or Kate much nicer.
I'm not keen on Rhiannon.
If I had to pick one I'd go for Katie.

Pewpew · 13/06/2021 20:24

Katie - meh, so many, prefer Kate anyway
Suzanne prefer with an A but the ones I have known are not nice
Rhiannon hate

Hockeyboysmum · 13/06/2021 20:25

Katie

elenacampana · 13/06/2021 20:27

Katie. I was only thinking recently that I haven’t heard it used fresh since the 90s!

Spied · 13/06/2021 20:28

Rhiannon is lovely. I love Rhian.

Awrite · 13/06/2021 20:31

I like them all.

Love the Leonard Cohen song Suzanne but have to agree with previous posters- Susannah is nicer.

Rhiannon - love the Fleetwood Mac dong.

Katie, I have always loved. It is quite popular but deservedly so.

Awrite · 13/06/2021 20:33

I promise I meant song and that I haven't seen Fleetwood Mac's dong.

Hughbert · 13/06/2021 20:38

Mick Fleetwood's song 😁
Prefer Susannah. Like Katie. Rhiannon is lovely but the anglicised version never sounds quite right.
As a by the by, went to school with a Rhian who was vile, cannot look at the name the same way and, for me, is v 70s.

dementedma · 13/06/2021 20:39

I know two Suzannes who are both known as Susie which I like.

Katie is nice too

QuestioningEverything2 · 13/06/2021 20:42

Suzanne is awful, but like Susannah. Depends if you mind Suzy or not.

Like Katie. Love Rhiannon, although not Rhianne or Rhianna for some reason

Benediction · 13/06/2021 20:45

I gave my dd Susannah as a middle name. No idea why it isn't more popular. It's very pretty. Suzanne less so, seems dated.

AuntieCorruption · 13/06/2021 20:48

Rhiannon is the bestest! The other two smell of poo!

PinkGlitteryTiggs · 13/06/2021 20:50

Never met a nice Suzanne, Katie isn’t really a birth certificate name, but a baby Katherine doesn’t seem right.

I do like Rhiannon though.

DogsnKids · 13/06/2021 20:53

Rhiannon is a wonderful name, it's very Welsh though. Katie is a shortened name which I don't like and Suzanne is naff

WhenZoomWasJustAnIceLolly · 13/06/2021 20:55

Rhiannon if you live somewhere where it can be pronounced ! The other two are dated and not great.

TheJoySpreader · 13/06/2021 20:58

Rhiannon is the only acceptable name of the three.

In fact I'd go as far as to say that all babies should be called Rhiannon, even if they are boys.

Einszwei · 13/06/2021 20:59

Katherine nn. Katie

YourCakesAreShit · 13/06/2021 21:04

I've met all three.

Suzanne is fine but from the 1970s. Rhiannon is fine but from the early 1990s and is very rarely pronounced properly. Katie is fine but is much better as a nickname for Katherine (spelt as you wish), or, if you must, Caitlin.

callmemaybee · 13/06/2021 21:07

Rhiannon is vile

Suzanne is okay. Susan is a bit outdated, so Suzanne sort of falls in the same category as it is so similar.

Katie is by far the best, but it is a common and safe option

mum2jakie · 13/06/2021 21:09

Rhiannon is beautiful!
