6.Cicely - nice and historical but I much prefer the more well known Cecily
3.Rosanna - one of the nicest "blended" names (Rose and Anna) but I still prefer the individual names

1. Alice - simple, classic, timeless, fairly popular - pretty much a can't go wrong name

5.Lucia - elegant and exotic but 3 different pronunciations! 8.Scarlett - has a harsh unpleasant sound to me 1.Helena - underused Shakespearean elegance combined with mutiple nn choices (its perfect imo apart from possible pronunciation issues again ) 7.Tansy - cutesy so feels more like a nn somehow (for Tamsin/Thomasin?) 4.Thea - nice enough but quite trendy

1 Tansy (would need a stronger more formal middle name I think)
2 Rosanna (though would want to find an alternative to Rosie as short form)

I much prefer Cicely to Cecily - the latter is wet. I don’t agree that Cecily is more well known I’d say they’re equal.

Thea - I really dislike this name. I don’t understand why it is so popular.

Yeah, I think most people are aware Tansy is a plant, but to me it sounds slightly cutesy - though less than Poppy (which I similarly prefer as a nn for something like Penelope, I've even heard it used for for Philippa). I suppose it's personal taste.

The uses of tansy as a 'medicinal herb' aren't very nice either.
