@Luckingfovely

100% Livia.

Is Vera even a real suggestion? Is the baby going to be born in Coronation Street in the 1960s? Grin

This made me laugh although I do think Vera is cute in its own way. I'm an expat in an Asian country where people choose their own English name and Vera is weirdly common, as is Doria. Still don't know where so many people got the idea for these two names from!

I'd choose Livia, though.

*Doris, not Doria!

Vera is an old lady with a blue rinse who chats to I've (ivy) over the garden fence whilst drinking weak tea and wearing tabard.

Livia is nice but a bit close to Olivia. How about Viva?

TatianaBis · 09/06/2021 19:44

Livia is a completely different name.

Disfordarkchocolate · 09/06/2021 19:45

Livia/Lyvia. My favourite girls name. Beautiful.

DinaofCloud9 · 09/06/2021 19:48

Vera is awful. Anything would be an improvement.

Livia does sound like Olivia but is nicer than Vera and nicer than Olivia too for that matter.

Fruityfriday · 09/06/2021 19:48

Has anyone got any Vera's?"
Lovely Ya Ha Ha Ha

ILoveShula · 09/06/2021 19:55

Lyvia is awful.

Olivia and Livia are different names but written down they are very similar. It's a bit like being called Sara when Sarah was at it's peak.

Todayissunny · 09/06/2021 19:56

I know a Liviya. Stress is on the ya and the Li is soft. I've never associated it with Olivia.
I know 2 Vera's. Both lovely people, but I'm just not sure about the name.

I really like Vera pronounced the Italian way but in the UK that's not going to happen!

Me too. It doesn’t work in English.
