I love it! Cora was one of my favorite characters in Downton Abbey.

AllIknowsofar · 04/06/2021 15:28

I don’t like it at all.

DotDotDotDotDot · 04/06/2021 19:39

I do like Cora, it’s on my list aswell. However I can relate to you in that I keep going off it for some reason. I also like Nina, Lara and Clara which I think have a similar feel. Good luck.

Historytoo · 04/06/2021 19:42

Beautiful name. I think of the character Cora in "Last of the Mohicans".

newnamesameold · 04/06/2021 19:44

Cora is a lovely name.

ISolemnlySwearIAmUpToNoGood · 04/06/2021 19:49

I like it too

BlueDucky · 04/06/2021 19:51

I like Cora but hate Clara and Cara. Strange as they are similar

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 04/06/2021 19:57

Cora is a hypermarket chain in a bunch of European countries so because of that it'd be as weird for me as calling a kid Tesco or Asda.

so no, wouldn't use it as first name. maybe as a middle name

My DD is Kara but I hate Clara. Just adding in the L sound ruins it completely for me. Very strange.
Notthenever · 04/06/2021 19:59

I love it too.

(Pearl would be a good middle name : )

stellarfox · 04/06/2021 20:06

I still really like it but when we tried it out on my daughter and said the name out loud I found it a bit hard to say. I preferred it in my head!

Whitewolf2 · 04/06/2021 20:08

It’s lovely, we used it as a middle name!

Only if you live in one of those countries
catsjammies · 04/06/2021 20:20

I have a Cora, short for Cordelia. We love it.

FurrySlipperBoots · 04/06/2021 20:21

One of my favourite girls names. I've loved it since watching Titanic as a child.

UneAstuce · 04/06/2021 20:28

Horrible- reminds me of a crow

Spidey66 · 04/06/2021 20:31

Love it. Its pretty, unusual enough that she'll probabky be the only one in her glass caloed it, but not so unusual peopke havent heard of it or struggle to spell or pronounce it.

Spidey66 · 04/06/2021 20:31

Glass=class

partyatthepalace · 04/06/2021 20:32

Meh. I think it’s nothing-y

Clara, Cordelia - both lovely

Useruseruserusee · 04/06/2021 20:33

Love it! We would have used it but 1) we had two DSs and 2) it unfortunately rhymes with our surname.

MindyStClaire · 04/06/2021 20:33

I really like it, although I think it might be quite popular atm as a know a good few.

Chicchicchicchiclana · 04/06/2021 20:33

Lovely name!

kneesbentarmsstretchedrararaaa · 04/06/2021 20:35

I don't like it. There are so many names out there which are prettier.

Emmelina · 04/06/2021 20:59

I didn’t go with it, but Cora was one of two names I had settled on for one of my daughters.
There’s a little Irish girl in Titanic with the name and I’ve loved it ever since I heard it :)

Wallywobbles · 04/06/2021 20:59

French supermarket chain
