What are your thoughts on Aspen? If you know any are they male or female?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Carouselfish · 25/05/2021 01:34

Very American.

Phoebesgift · 25/05/2021 01:43

Nope. Ass as a nickname. Jesus Christ, no.

@teddyclown

Probably not as a name, but brought back memories to an oldie Smile
You read my mind Grin

A friend named her daughter Aspen. She's nearly 3

ShadierThanaPalmTree · 01/06/2021 17:23

I think it could be a boy or girl. But it sounds so lispy and wet. And potentially would be shortened to arse/ass by other children

MaMelon · 01/06/2021 17:24

It sounds like a female character in a teenage US Netflix show - which may be the vibe you're going for. I don't like it, sorry.

ZenNudist · 01/06/2021 17:26

Love it for skiing.

Not as a human's name.

Maybe for a husky dog?

traumatisednoodle · 01/06/2021 17:28

I think the snow is better in Whistler

YouWereGr8InLittleMenstruators · 01/06/2021 17:29

Pretty tree with quivering leaves and striking autumn colour.

JustanotherTuesday · 01/06/2021 17:30

I think it's lovely for a girl. I do really like American names, I also like Peyton, Kendall and Camden.

ChequerBoard · 01/06/2021 17:31

Isn't one of the younger of Dawn Ward's (the main mouthy one from Real Housewives of Cheshire) children called Aspen?

Enough reason to avoid...

Camden as in town or lock ?
Kendall as in mint cake ?

Give me strength

@KillerFlamingo

I'm sure the "first British Gay Dads" couple many years ago named their twins Saffron and Aspen, only time I recall hearing it as a name but it's ok.
That was my first thought.
MrMeSeeks · 01/06/2021 18:04

@RosesAndHellebores

It's a ski resort in Colorado. Very reliable snow.
Lol Grin

No, just no as a name.

No. Aspen's dad has gone off with her boyfriend.
