Spelling Selena or Selina?

I'm really not quite sure how to spell it

We're in the UK - How should I spell it?

Selena or Selina?

Other option is Serena but sounds very close to our late DD's name Athena

Either spelling is fine I would say. Selena Gomez being such a big star, and probably continuing to be a big star for a few years yet, probably means that her spelling will become the more commonly used spelling.

I've seen Selina more often, but prefer Selena

I know one Selena and two Selinas (all UK).

Don't think it matters too much but I prefer it spelled Selena.

Serena is one of my faves though but I can understand you not using it, sorry for your loss

Selena is the most popular spelling in the UK currently and well known internationally thanks to some famous singers (it's also closest to the original name - Selene).

Out of those two options I’d say Selena.

I considered it but for some reason I really don’t like that spelling so would have used Celina if we’d gone for it.

Selina used to be the normal spelling here, but Selena has taken over I think - I like it a bit more and it's closer to the original Selene as PP says
