My son is Noah. I've been struggling with girls name but think I've finally settled on Sofia. We have only met 1 or 2 others, so not very popular round here.
Now need help deciding on middle name......

  • Sofia Juliet
  • Sofia Poppy
  • Sofia Violet
I think I'm leaning towards Sofia Juliet. But would love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks.

Sophia is in the top ten and rising so if popularity is an issue that's something to think about (but Noah is also very popular so they go well together).

I like Sofia Violet best. But all nice.

Sofia Violet is my fav but I'm biased as violet is my favourite girls name. Personally though I don't think you can go wrong with any of them

Congratulations

Foxhasbigsocks · 15/05/2021 23:47

Sofia Juliet I

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 16/05/2021 02:34

Sofia Juliet is beautiful . Poppy is a bit cutesy and Violet quite trendy imo. But are you living in the UK? Unless you have a cultural reason for using the the Sofia spelling, I'd consider using Sophia instead - it tends to be the "standard" one here (no.7 compared to no. 26 in the top 100, used by Dickens and Austen etc).

DramaAlpaca · 16/05/2021 03:03

Whichever you like best, of course.

Personally I'd pick either Juliet or Violet as they are both gorgeous names.

Not Poppy, it's twee as heck and to me it's more of a noise than a name.

ThatIsMyPotato · 16/05/2021 06:42

Sofia Juliet is lovley

Synchrony · 16/05/2021 20:30

How are you pronouncing it? The same as Sophia? (the Sofia I know is SOFF-ya).

Regardless I love Juliet and find it more beautiful than Poppy or Violet.

partyatthepalace · 16/05/2021 22:03

Yes, nice
Poppy is wet
Violet is nice but doesn’t go as well

She will get more misspellings with Sofia rather than Sophia, is all I’d say

PassGo · 16/05/2021 23:27

All lovely but Sofia Poppy is my favourite.

daisydalrymple · 16/05/2021 23:41

My dd has Sofia has her middle name. That spelling goes much better with her Welsh first name. Never had any problem with people mis spelling it, I think most people accept both spellings and check.

AnyaMoondial · 17/05/2021 07:00

Sofia Juliet is stunning. I prefer the Sofia spelling.

TopBlogger · 17/05/2021 07:02

I dont see the point in middle names unless they have a family connection. So do any of your names have that?

Amdone123 · 17/05/2021 07:25

I feel the same as pp regarding middle names. It's lovely to honour a family member.
Sofia Violet is lovely.

Theoldwoman · 17/05/2021 07:43

Without a doubt, Sofia Juliet.

Frazzledfranny · 17/05/2021 07:46

I’ve always picked middle names that mean something to me. Why don’t you try that?
