I know these are both fairly popular names but just wondering what others thought of

Elliott
Lucas

Other names I like but have gone off as I know people with children named this recently, were George, Stanley, Oscar, Isaac, Theo. I'm aware these are all popular names, but can't help what I like!
Any other suggestions welcome :)

I like them both, I prefer Elliot slightly more than Lucas.

Like Lucas, really not keen on Elliott - it's one of those slightly odd names to me!

Lucas and Elliott are both great, although I would probably choose Lucas out of the two. Maybe Zachary, Micah, Reuben, Felix?

Lucas rhymes with mucus and I find it hard to get over. I prefer Elliott.

What about Luca instead of Lucas?

My thoughts exactly! Can't hear Lucas without thinking mucus. Really do like Elliot but also like Luca too as an alternative to Lucas

I have an irrational dislike of the name Lucas. It is very wet sounding as a first name and I also know two families who have it as a surname.
Much prefer Elliot.

Don’t like Elliot, dunno why. Just makes me think of fussy American professors, with red hair (?!?!)
Lucian, Nathaniel, Gabriel, Dominic, Alastair feel similar but nicer to me - also Joshua, Josiah

Thanks everyone, I am leaning slightly more towards Elliott, would also need to figure which spelling to use?! I think I prefer with two t's but can imagine his whole life people will misspell with just the one. 🤔
Also like Luca however reminds me of one I know and know lots of Luke's. Also like Zachary but have a family member named this. Felix and Jasper remind me of pet names! I just think of a cat for felix lol

There's nothing wrong with a name being popular! I like both but prefer Lucas. I like your other names listed too, particularly George and Oscar.
