What sounds best with the surname?

Ruby then Lucy.

I've been put off the name Louise (and therefore Louisa) recently because I've realised that it would make a good name for a laxative

Ruby - tiny but down-market
Lucy - lovely, classic
Louisa - a MN favourite but I don't get it.. a bit stuffy to my ears
Nina - nice, fun name

Love Louisa, Lucy is nice too.

Not keen on Ruby or Nina.

Lucy or Nina are both great names!

Louisa is lovely, Lucy is also nice and quite a timeless classic.

Louisa
Ruby
Lucy

Nina is my favourite, was a close 2nd for DD born last week so I'd love to see someone use it.

Then Lucy (can't go wrong), Louisa (bit wet) and Ruby (feel it peaked a while back)

Lucy or Louisa, both are fab.
Nina is ok.
Ruby sounds like a bar-maid.
not an unpleasant name, but sounds a bit below-stairs.

In order for me:

• Nina (pretty, simple, elegant )

-Louisa (lovely and classic sounding- would be higher but I hate nn Lou)

-Ruby (not my taste - trendy yet still feels too "old lady" to me)

Lucy nice classic name.

Louisa and Lucy are both gorgeous.

Ruby is nice too, but not a patch on the above.

A big no to Nina, it's got no substance to it.

I'm not too keen on Nina, but the others are all lovely, I especially like Ruby.

All except Louisa. Louise is an overused middle name in my generation. Also very aware of the 'wheeze' sound and its not lovely.
