What names do you like but you have only ever met one of before?

My sister is pregnant for the first time at 43 and wants an unusual but real name and wants some inspiration.

I named my own after only once ever hearing someone called the name.

Jeanne (soft J sound, name comes from Malta I think)
Agnes, a young artist I met in Australia who was British but living in Vietnam, she was memorable in a good way.

@AliceMcK

Tui, it’s popular in NZ and pacific islands, it’s unisex too. But it always reminds me of a beautiful brave little girl I once had the privilege of meeting.
I knew a boy names Tui, thought it was great. Felt very sorry for him when the travel agent changed its name

Dd2’s name has come up here, but we were once walking through a park in Cambridge and as three separate families came to a junction in the paths we all called out ‘Beatrice’, which would suggest that it’s not rare everywhere Grin

I offer Mariella and Onyx
