What names do you like but you have only ever met one of before?

My sister is pregnant for the first time at 43 and wants an unusual but real name and wants some inspiration.

I named my own after only once ever hearing someone called the name.

You're right, it's possible but unlikely as most people go for the alternate spelling! 😁

Her name is Merren. In Scotland the spelling is mostly Meron/Maren, in England it's Merryn. The only other one I'm aware of is 18 years older than mine!

Secoya, and her Sisters name was Marantey, chosen by their Father who was a Craftsman Woodcarver, and the names come from a Species of rare Giant Redwood Trees.

We have a distant relation who named her baby Antigone, but it’s now been shortened to Tiggy as some people she met were unsure how to correctly pronounce it, it’s actually pronounced ‘Ant tig ony’!
