Yes or no?
As a full name, not a nickname for Beatrice or Patricia.

Excellent, if you are giving birth to a small fluffy dog.
Would you like to be called Trixie?

therestissilence · 21/04/2021 19:35

Sounds like a Scandinavian prostitute. Not a fan!

serin · 21/04/2021 20:40

Hmm, I think its got attitude, a bit like Stella or Nessa.
esp bad ass if shortened to Trix.
Its not my taste but its better than yet another Olivia.

clpsmum · 21/04/2021 22:03

It's lovely

AuntieStella · 21/04/2021 22:11

My first thought was terrier

hermionieweasley · 21/04/2021 22:13

I think it's lovely and nobody will think of anything but your lovely daughter if you decide to call her it'

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 21/04/2021 22:27

Not as a full name for me - too cutesy. Fine as a sweet nn for Beatrice/Beatrix or yes, even Patricia (although that's dated now, it's still better than Trixie imo).

Rockmehardplace · 21/04/2021 22:29

Awwww Trixie was our lovely dog!

But no, not a name for a person!

KirstenBlest · 21/04/2021 22:40

Tricksy

Jayneisagirlsname · 22/04/2021 08:16

Reminds me of Gollum 'Master Frodo is very tricksy'

OloBo · 22/04/2021 08:20

It’s the reason I wouldn’t have Beatrix.

Edenember · 22/04/2021 10:50

Not keen, but I love Trudie.

partyatthepalace · 22/04/2021 18:24

No - as a nn for Beatrice / Beatrix it's fine - but it's a strong flavour and you want her to have options (and not hate you)

user1493494961 · 23/04/2021 16:33

Awful.

SionnachRua · 23/04/2021 16:37

Fantastic drag queen. Also suits a girl from the USA Deep South or a poodle. Otherwise terrible.

Wiebsa · 23/04/2021 16:44

No. For all the reasons everyone else is giving.

Cbeebiesrehab · 24/04/2021 08:29

Put Beatrix on her BC and call her Trixie day to day. That was she has a formal name she can go by when and if she decides to. Best of both worlds.

DinosaurDiana · 24/04/2021 08:30

No. It’s a Yorkshire Terrier’s name.

VenusClapTrap · 24/04/2021 10:07

Strong no. Dated dog name.

Reinventinganna · 24/04/2021 10:09

I know a trixie. It’s a nn and she hates it especially as her full name is so beautiful.

clpsmum · 24/04/2021 10:49

For all those saying it's a dogs name I know people with dogs called Dave, molly,Milly, Lucy, olive, Ollie, Luna, Alfie, Archie, Bailey, max, Rory, frankie and Jasper
Still all perfectly acceptable for humans too!!!!

Viviennemary · 24/04/2021 10:53

Dreadful. Its either a dogs name or for somebody out of a 1960s girls comic.

Mum45678 · 24/04/2021 10:54

Not as a full name. I have a daughter called Beatrix and I hate when people call her this, especially as we already have a nickname for her - given to her by my elder child who could not pronounce Beatrix when she was first born. People think we are mispronouncing it and call her Trixie Hmm

Skyla2005 · 24/04/2021 11:00

Ridiculous
