Surname is 3 syllables, begins with a vowel and not English.

Hannah.

Ellmau · 17/04/2021 13:14

Zoe is great.

I prefer Anna to Hannah.

Mary is OK, maybe feels a bit dated? But a classic.

Chilldonaldchill · 17/04/2021 13:18

Zoe is my favourite.
I like Hannah but, along with Anna, it's the most popular name by far in dd's year and I do find it a little bland.
Mary is interesting nowadays but I still much prefer Zoe.

sarahfic · 17/04/2021 13:19

Growing up a girls private parts was their Mary or Mary Jane. Boys had willies. So to me, whenever I hear Mary, I think Vagina in a similar way to Fanny.

cariadlet · 17/04/2021 13:20

I love Hannah.

Mary's pretty; I've been teaching for almost 30 years and have never taught a Mary, it must be due for a revival.

Zoe's ok. No strong feelings either way.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 17/04/2021 14:56

I want to pick Mary - so classic and very underused now. But to be honest, if it were me I'd probably play it safe with Hannah - apart from a period between the 1930's -60's it's generally stayed in the E&W top 100 and is very international (athough personally I like similar Anna even more). Zoe isn't my taste, although there's nothing wrong with it.

jellyfishinatent · 17/04/2021 14:59

I came across a baby Mary at work recently.

I thought it is beautiful and underused nowadays

Second vote is Hannah. I don't like Zoe

Kanaloa · 17/04/2021 15:08

I like them all, really nice names. If I had to choose a favourite I would say Zoe but don’t think you can go wrong with Hannah or Mary.

MumofSpud · 17/04/2021 15:18

Love Mary!

MrsPsmalls · 17/04/2021 15:18

All lovely but I would plump for Mary then Zoe then Hannah.

Flymetothestars · 17/04/2021 16:02

All nice
First choice hannah
Second Zoe

Mary at my school got teased for being Virgin Mary etc etc

DramaAlpaca · 17/04/2021 16:22

I like Zoe best, but the others are lovely too.

Sall23 · 17/04/2021 18:17

I find Mary and especially Hannah a bit dull. Zoe is lovely though.

Edenember · 17/04/2021 22:45

Zoe is my least favourite. Both Hannah and Mary have been on my list, totally different feels so difficult to pick. Both lovely.

Tillygetsit · 17/04/2021 22:48

Zoe has more zest about it so that's my favourite.

Happenchance · 17/04/2021 22:50

Hannah or Zoe. Anything but Mary!

Banville · 17/04/2021 22:50

I would imagine Mary will become (perhaps already has become) popular with the upper classes very soon. So that will become MN approved. Coming from a Catholic upbringing though it's too religious for me.

Hannah is nice but slightly dull. One of those names that was uber popular in the 90s.

Zoe is also a bit dated but I think it's very pretty.

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 18/04/2021 09:35

I love Mary. An under-used classic atm

VenusClapTrap · 18/04/2021 09:53

Mary

GreenSlide · 18/04/2021 10:01

Mary is definitely due a comeback. The others are a bit 90s.

SionnachRua · 18/04/2021 10:02

Not Hannah, so boring and blah.
Mary is due a comeback imo.
Zoe is ok. I have no opinion on it either way, it's just sort of... there. Very inoffensive name.

Ellasmummyx1 · 18/04/2021 10:23

Not keen on any of them but I’d choose Mary I think. Hannah and Zoe are a bit dated

partyatthepalace · 18/04/2021 15:36

They are all nice and classic - I’d pick what sounds best w your surname
