Ciara or Amara ?

Which one is prettier ? Was going to pronounce Ciara like see -ar- ah

I like both names but prefer Ciara with the correct Irish pronunciation of Keer-ah.

Ciara but definitely with the original Irish pronunciation.

You don't need to decide now - when she's born one or the other night feel right for you. WRT pronunciations: I'd pronounce Ciara the Irish way, but I'm aware of how the singer pronounces it also. I don't know where you are living, but )based a US name forum) Ciara would be pronounced like the singer over there, in Ireland the Irish pronunciation would obviously be the default, and in England I really don't know - I don't know any English Ciaras. Sierra could an alternative, it's an established name and the pronunciation is clear.
