Faye or Nell?

Apart from the 'Nelly the Elephant' connection, to me a 'nelly' is a bit of a plonker. It is something you might call someone who has done something silly or a bit daft.
I wouldn't use it for that reason.

I'm not that keen on Fay, but would prefer Fay to Faye.

Faye is beautiful

Nell is awful

Definitely Nell - love this name. I'm not keen on Faye at all

I have a soft spot for Nell.

I love both. I have a Faye and if I had another girl it would be Penelope known as Nellie/Nell.
