Eminay. I knew an Emine who had Turkish-cypriot heritage who pronounced her name this way.

tinselandlights · 02/04/2021 22:34

Like Eminem without the last m, it's Turkish

Soppyspanieleyes · 02/04/2021 22:35

Eminay because I have a Turkish friend with that name who pronounces it like thar. I think it's a lovely name

PleaseReferToMeAsBritneySpears · 02/04/2021 22:35

EMimee to rhyme with Emily

LockdownCheeseToastie · 02/04/2021 22:36

Eh meh nee

chilliplant634 · 02/04/2021 22:48

Wow. I wasn't expecting so many replies. Thanks for the input. Yes it is a Turkish girl's name. It means fearless, courageous. I know that it is supposed to be pronounced "eh minay" but I thought even a western pronunciation of "eh-mean" still sounds pleasant.

Eminy (like Emily).

chilliplant634 · 02/04/2021 22:52

I was thinking of using it for a new business name. But I'm not so sure now...it seems it may be a confusing name and not so intuitive after all.
