What do you think of following for baby girl? My SO thinks they are all fine, but refuse to pinpoint his favorite. I prefer Cordelia, but worry Rosabelle or Rosamund might be better choices

Isabella
Cordelia
Rosabelle
Rosamund
Emmeline

middle name is planned to be Thisbe, Giselle, Bridget or Esther, whatever sounds right with first name.

Cordelia is definitely my favourite!

Like Isabella too - but there are so many of them. Less keen on the others - though I like Rosanna.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 01/04/2021 15:19

Isabella is the only one of those that I like.

WilsonMilson · 01/04/2021 15:24

Emmeline is one of my favourites. Isabella is lovely but really popular at the moment. Not so fussed on the others, or the middle names.

renovationfatigue · 01/04/2021 15:32

Love Emmeline. The others are a little too fussy for my taste but I can see they're objectively pretty. Love Esther too.

GwendolineWindowlene · 01/04/2021 15:36

My favourite of the lot is Giselle, but I'd worry about the potential for jizz. Next favourite is Emmeline, then Cordelia.

FionnulaTheCooler · 01/04/2021 15:38

I like Rosabelle Esther, you can always use Rosie for a nickname. I know a little Rosabelle and she's a lovely child and really suits her name.

HuntingoftheSnark · 01/04/2021 15:40

I absolutely love Cordelia - it would have been DD's name but she is Miranda because of her birthplace (the cat is Cordelia). Really gorgeous name.

florascotia2 · 01/04/2021 15:51

I prefer Rosamund to Rosabelle, it sounds more elegant and grown up. Rosabelle makes me think of a doll's name from my childhood, but I might be misremembering.
Cordelia really nice also; Isabella is fine but has been very, very popular.

I LOVE Thisbe. It goes well with Cordelia and Rosamund - but combined with Isabella, there are rather too many 'is' sounds.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 01/04/2021 16:43

Not keen on Rosabelle - sounds a bit of a mash -up/invented and slightly frilly. Isabella is fine, but a bit dull/popular compared to your other choices.

Cordelia, Emmeline and Rosamund are gorgeous. I suspect though they will get shortened - so I'd pick based on which nn you prefer Cora/Cordy, Emmie or Roz (so for me I think it would be Cordelia, 2nd choice Emmeline as I'm less keen on Roz.)

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 01/04/2021 16:45

Oh and all three of your middles are fine imo, but I especially love Thisbe. Cordelia Thisbe would be very Shakespearean and elegant sounding.

ThatsNotTheTeaHunty · 01/04/2021 16:49

Isabella is the only okay one for me. The others seem a bit too try hard. I'd also worry Thisbe sounds like frisbee too.

ILoveShula · 01/04/2021 17:04

I prefer Rosalind to Rosamund, but both are nice, as is Cordelia.

Isabella is lovely but has been overused.

Rosabelle is too frilly, and Emmeline is a plainer form of Emily.

HarkAVagrant · 01/04/2021 17:08

Love Cordelia. Love Rosamund.
Rosa belle definitely too frilly. Emmeline I’m not massively keen o but don’t have strong feelings either way
I don’t know how I feel about Isabella because I know so many of them, its become like wallpaper to me.

GertrudeTheGreat · 01/04/2021 17:21

I love Cordelia and Emmeline

AnyaMoondial · 01/04/2021 17:33

My favourite is Rosamund. It’s such a strong name. Cordelia and Emmeline are also really good.

Quercus3 · 01/04/2021 19:40

Cordelia and Rosamund are wonderful names

TatianaBis · 01/04/2021 19:55

Prefer Rosalind and Rosalie to Rosamund.
Isabella is v popular and Izzy is not a nice and Bella is everywhere.

Love Giselle, after the ballet.

Thisbe is just too rude mechanical comedy for me.

wishing3 · 01/04/2021 19:55

I’m afraid I’m not personally keen on Rosabelle but love all of the others.

Fembot123 · 01/04/2021 19:56

Emmeline is lovely

Bruce2 · 01/04/2021 20:20

Cordelia (Didi as a nn maybe?)
Emmeline (Emmy?)

The rest are perfectly ok too, just a bit too frilly for me especially Rosabelle

Giselle a lovely middle name

PolarnOPirate · 01/04/2021 20:23

Isabella - nice but common
Cordelia - love
Rosabelle - frilly
Rosamund - stuffy
Emmeline - stuffy

What about Rosemara? I knew a fab one!

Love Giselle and Esther too.

PenguinBarnotBird · 01/04/2021 20:27

Love Rosalind as per pp

PandaFluff · 01/04/2021 21:28

Isabella or Cordelia for me I don't like the others.
Esther is a great name. You could use it as a first name with any of your list as a second name.

Ijustlikedthename · 01/04/2021 22:08

Love Cordelia Thisbe

KirstenBlest · 01/04/2021 22:53

@bruce2, not Didi ffs
