My favourite is Jemima.
Least favourite is Eloise and Emilia.

Good list of names

Like Jemima.

SmeleanorSmellstrop · 31/03/2021 03:00

Jemima is gorgeous and so clasy 😍
Eliza similarly beautiful but so popular recently.
I'm not crazy about Eloise but it isn't terrible, just doesn't really interest me. Seems a bit dull. Same for Heidi and Emilia - too many about!
Lucy is so sweet!
I'd choose Jemima or Lucy.
Jemima Lucy or Lucy Jemima sound so lovely too!

SmeleanorSmellstrop · 31/03/2021 03:00

*classy

In a minute someone will remind you that Jemima is the name of a puddle duck and also has racist connotations in the USA. I don't think it's an issue but some people do get on their high horse about it

Onlinedilema · 31/03/2021 07:21

I like Jemima.
I wouldn't use Emilia because of the confusion with Amelia.
She will spend a lifetime of having to spell out her name and it's a ball ache.
I'm not keen on Eluza, no specific reason I'm just not keen.

Onlinedilema · 31/03/2021 07:21

Eliza not Eluza.

Any but bloody Jemima 😩😩

mamablondie33 · 31/03/2021 18:56

I like Jemima and Heidi - they actually make a lovely sibling combination.

  1. Eloise. Beautiful - then there's the song.
  2. Eliza - lovely.
  3. Lucy - pretty and classic.
4.Jemima - nice, unusual. There is the American 'Aunt Jemima' thing, but do we really need to worry about that in the UK?
  1. Emilia, nice enough but as it sounds the same as Amelia I always wonder what the point of it is? I'd prefer Emmeline.
  1. Heidi. Very cutesy.
TatianaBis · 31/03/2021 19:27

Heidi is my favourite.

Edenember · 31/03/2021 20:55

Love Eliza and Heidi, Eloise is pretty but concur with others about living in fear of Ellie as a nn.
