Any boy names starting with at suggestions?
I have a little girl who's first name starts with a R so ideally I'd like my boy to match! It's not the end of the world if not but just wondered if anyone had any suggestions! Tia💙💙

What kind of names do you like if you weren't fussed about the first initial? Is popularity a factor for you?
Would you be willing to tell us your girl name, no problem if not.
Just wondering so I can think of the most relevant suggestions.

AS others have said, the Scottish Gaelic spelling is Ruaidhri. If you don't like this - your choice - please have Rory. The other mangled spellings are just not correct. In Ireland, there are different acceptable spellings, I think ...

I like Rex and Rafferty
Roman is currently the fastest rising boy name, on its way to the top 10/20 so I'd personally avoid Roman and all those similar sounding names that are also very popular and trendy. Really overdone

EvilOnion · 30/03/2021 19:31

@florascotia2 I thought the Ruaidhri was the old Irish spelling?

We did a bit of research for #2, I wanted Ruairidh which I thought was the Scots Gaelic but DH is dyslexic and couldn't wrap his head around the "dh" ending.

We are Scots with Irish heritage though so it didn't really matter either way!

In Ireland the most common spellings are Ruairi (which I love) and Ruairidh.
The Scottish boy I know is Ruaridh.
