Alliteration

What do people think about alliteration with first and surnames? Our surname begins with a W and we love the name Winifred but I can't decide if it's a bit too "superhero" like Clark Kent, Lex Luther etc or whether I'm being completely ridiculous and it's fine. We have one other name we like but Winifred is my favourite apart from the alliteration

I have 2x AA children, it draws some vaguely amused breakdown/battery comments but nothing more.

I’d say go for it.

Winifred!!!! Definitely do it. It will be amazing.

Freddie for short?

DD has an alliterative name. I was slightly wary to start with but DH loved it and reactions have been very positive. I am 100% sure we made the right choice, I can’t imagine anything else now Smile

First name is Felicity, surname is rare here so not posting it but it’s short and one syllable which is why it works.

Sometimes it works and sometimes it just sounds comedic. It depends entirely on the individual names.
