A middle name for May?

I'm looking for a nice middle name for May - at least two syllables. Feels trickier as usually May is the middle name! I like Welsh names, nature names and mythology names in particular, but open to all suggestions 😊

I know two Mays, an adult and a child. Neither has ever had silly comments about their names. It's a nice, normal name.

There is no name on the planet that can't momentarily become a lame joke in a classroom. In my year, we had Scarlett Charlotte, Alana Alana the Big Fat Banana, Lucy Lastic, Hannah the Spanner, Andrew shortened to Anne or Annie when his mates wanted to annoy him.... etc. etc. This kind of stuff is very different to calling a child something that will result in relentless teasing, like Fanny or something.

May Cerys
May Seren
May Viola

These are my favourites from suggested.

I also like

May Elizabeth

It has a nice flow to it!

Amdone123 · 25/03/2021 08:27

Yes, May Elizabeth, beautiful.

CaffiSaliMali · 25/03/2021 11:10

I agree that Eira and Eirlys, whilst beautiful, don't flow with May.

Catrin is Welsh for Katharine and pronounced cat-rin.

May:
Sabrina (latinate version of Hafren)
Angharad
Gwendolen (gwen-DOLL-en, with the en like in hen and pen)
Seren (SERR-en, again, en as in hen)
Arianwen (arr-YAN-wen)
Bronwen (wen is like when, not win)
Olwen (as above)
Morwenna (MORR-wenna, is also Cornish and I believe they pronounce like More-wenna)
Nerys
Katharine
Elizabeth
Rebecca
Alexandra/Alexandria/Alexandrina
Rosamund
Rosemary

I love May! We almost chose it for DD but decided against it, for the very reason that we couldn't quite find a middle name that sounded right to us.

On our list we had:
May Olivia
May Isabella
May Victoria

WiseOwlOne · 27/03/2021 08:57

May Eluned sounds nice. I think May needs a 3 syllable middle name.
May Juliet
May Eloise
May Eleanor

May Eleri

Thanks for the suggestions all. It's a tricky one.... I like Cerys and Rhiannon so far, but there's nothing I really love yet.
