Milo?

Can I have some honest opinions on the name Milo please. I've recently heard this name and I like it but I'm not sure if it sounds ridiculous? I like less common names but not extremely unique x

William is lovely - very classic and timeless with some great namesakes. Sebastian is a decent "middle ground" name imo - less popular than William but still well known and international. Milo is more trendy I think (I know a couple of little Milo's but no older ones personally). I wouldn't use Phoenix as a first name (but it would be a fun middle?) - I think it either has a very hippy image or alternatively could be seen as a bit downmarket/celeb.

I can't hear it other in the "I'm Milo" voice from the Tweenies theme.

So, hell no!

I know 3 cats and one dog called Milo. It definitely has a Pet Name vibe.

Love Sebastian. Milo’s ok.

Bruce2 · 22/03/2021 10:10

Prefer your suggestion of Sebastian over Milo
Nothing wrong with Milo, perfectly fine name. For me it just seems a bit cutesy but then maybe it's because I've never met a man named Milo only lots of toddlers so can't imagine it on a grown up!

I love the name. It’s quite popular where I’m from but I’d still use it. Beautiful.

KurtWilde · 22/03/2021 10:23

Reminds me of Tweenies. Or Stanley Ipkiss' dog in The Mask. I don't dislike it but I'm certain you'll get Tweenies comments if nothing else.

RedRec · 22/03/2021 10:37

Love all your names apart from Phoenix.

I have one. Odd Tweenie related comment when he was a baby but hardly anyone seems to remember them now, least of all him. Best of all, he wasn’t keen on his name as a younger child (wanted to be a Harry/Tom/Jack like half his class) but loves it now!

Olderandabitwiser · 22/03/2021 11:42

Should have said he’s now an older teen.
