Can you please share with me some absolutely regular and normal names that are absolutely underused?

My picks are Miranda, Helen, Clive and Mitchell. What are yours?

Some are merely briefly fashionable names, others are classics that had a peak and are in a dip.

If you like Clive and Cliff, how about Clint? Too nuts?

@FluWorldOrder

Aren't these mostly just names that were en vogue during a certain period which you'd be mad to use now/are dated e.g. Gary, no offence to any Gary's (my DH Grin) but it's just an incredibly ugly name.
They are, but isn't that how names work? By the time our children are having children, an the Granny names that are in fashion now will have moved on and they'll be considering their own grandparents names.

So today's baby boomers like Gary, Geoff, Clive, Pam, Sue and Jackie may be our grandchildren.

I find it quite interesting the trends in the more biblical names, more for boys than girls I guess as girls have a wider variety. Why are James & Daniel still popular but Matt & Simon out?

OP's buggered off though. I was interested to know why they were asking, what they wanted to do with the answers and what their thoughts were.

Borntohula · 22/03/2021 08:57

Joel and Jasmine.

Keith, Ian, Simon, Peter, Malcolm, Robert, Kevin,
