Thoughts please... Clara if a girl.
Gwilym if a boy ( this is welsh as we are welsh, but live in London) it's said Gwil-lim, I'm assuming would probably be nicknamed the more common Wil eventually, although not by us.

Love Clara - as Welsh girls names go I also love Ffion.

Not mad on Gwilym - awkward to say and a bit close to Gollum. What about Gawain? I love Aneirin nn Nye. Osian quite nice too.

Is Gawain a name? I'm Welsh speaking and I've never heard it used. Gwilym is a nice name.

Both lovely

Both lovely names.

I don't like Clara and much prefer Cara.

Gwilym - usually shortened to Gwil or sometimes Cwil, not Wil.
Nice, and currently popular in Wales.

One caveat. It will be misspelt by almost everyone who doesn't speak Welsh.
He will get
Gwillim
Gwylim

and possibly
Giwlym
Gywlim

I forgot Gwillam and Gwilliam. I do like it though
