What boy name might I like? Really struggling!

Potential girls names:

Nina
Daisy
Joni
Anna
Nancy

So I guess short two syllable names. Can't find a single boys name that I'm keen on. DH suggested Elliot which I hate, but can't come up with an alternative.

Thanks everyone. A couple in there I don't mind - Rory and Robin. But the rest I cannot get excited about. DH has vetoed Robin, maybe the Scottish version or Rory (Ruaraidh) is a goer. Really hope it's a girl or it will remain nameless at this rate!

Should maybe have said we're in Scotland and both have Irish families so name could be either of those. Less keen on posh English sounding ones (Jonty, Casper, Jago etc).

Ruaraidh is a lovely name.

frenchtoast88 · 28/02/2021 19:45

@OldRailer

Ruaraidh is a lovely name.
Yes I really like it! Not sure if the spelling is too much of a pain in the arse? Or if I've actually got it correct there, I think there might be a few variations. Or if non Scottish people would even know how to say it? Love the idea of wee Ru Smile

Come to think of it I've known a Ruaridh!

OldRailer · 28/02/2021 19:52

I wouldn't let spelling worries put you off of it's the right name.

In Scotland too and think it’s Ruaridh, but maybe there’s other possible spellings. Think it’s lovely too and I know a wee Ru, it’s a great nickname.
