Hi just found out we’re having a little boy, we both like the name Aaron but wondered if anyone has any suggestions for names in a similar vein that we might consider?
Thanks x

Adam

Although if you both like Aaron why not just go with it. Some couples would give anything to have a name they both agreed on. What's the point in complicating things.

I make 2 instant connections:
Aarons at school hung around with kids called: Ricky, Bradley, David, Jason, Leon.
Biblical names: Michael, Peter, Paul, John.

Aaron is really lovely and so underused these days too. Fallen way outside the top 100 now and continues to fall. The opposite of trendy. A great name. Use it!

If not

How do you pronounce Aaron? There are two ways.
I quite like the spelling Aran if you like that pronunciation. Cillian Murphy has a son called Aran and I assume he is named after the beautiful Aran Islands in Ireland.
There is also Arran which are Scottish islands I believe.

I loved the name Aaron when I was pregnant with my second but thought it sounded a bit too close to my oldest, who is Ewan
Good luck deciding
LadyCatStark · 22/02/2021 13:23
Erm... Aaron? 😂 in all my years as a TA and parent I’ve only come across 1 child Aaron so it’d consider it rare but not “out there”.
Muitolegal · 22/02/2021 13:24
It’s such a nice name
Also love Joshua, Joel, Christian
