I love the name Dylan as the first name. Bennett is the surname, Andrew is the middle name I thought of Andrew because it is strong and it goes well with both name I have picked. What are you thoughts on Dylan, do you think the name fits well?

It flows nicely. I’m sure personally sure Dylan ages well, but it’s a nice sounding name.

bridgetreilly · 18/02/2021 20:21

It's perfectly fine.

I live in wales so knew a couple of boys named Dylan growing up. Nice name & the names all go together nicely. Kids are weird though so if all his school mates call him DAB would you mind? It wouldn’t bother me at all.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 18/02/2021 20:47

Dylan is lovely - I'm fairly used to hearing it in Wales so I don't think it ages/dates badly at all (it also makes me think of poet Dylan Thomas). I don't especially love Andrew, but it's okay as a middle name and Dylan Andrew Bennett sounds nice (the initials DAB wouldn't bother me either).

BallsToYouSue · 18/02/2021 20:48

Yes, Dylan Andrew Bennett sounds perfectly nice together. Can't see any obvious issues at all. Dylan isn't to my taste, but it is a perfectly ok name which nobody would seriously object to imo.

Andrew Bennett was the name of probably my favourite kid I've ever taught. Good call 👍

finallychangedmyusername · 18/02/2021 21:17

I think Dylan Andrew is lovely.

Firebird83 · 18/02/2021 22:06

I like Andrew but not Dylan.

KirstenBlest · 18/02/2021 22:09

I don't like Dylan.
Have you considered Gordon? It's a strong name with good associations - Gordon Brown, Gordon Banks etc.

JackieweaverhasALLtheauthority · 18/02/2021 22:11

Gordon???????

Andrew Dylan is better.

Not keen on dylan but it is ok.

Bluesername · 18/02/2021 22:11

Very nice combination.

Kirsten, are you really suggesting Gordon Bennett?

Dinosaursdontgrowontrees · 18/02/2021 22:13

I like it!

KirstenBlest · 18/02/2021 22:18

The firstname surname combination is so important.

The best surname with Banks is Robin.

Sorry I meant first name.

Alan and Arnold go well with Bennett.

Gordon????!!!! I actually LOL'd at this
KirstenBlest · 18/02/2021 22:26

I forgot Anthony. Goes well with the surname.

noname55 · 18/02/2021 22:27

I like it. Dylan and Andrew are on my list!

WonkyCactus · 18/02/2021 22:29

Like Andrew, not so keen on Dylan. The fact that the initials spell a word would put me off.

giantwaterbottle · 18/02/2021 22:47

I like it, I think they go well together and a nice normal name

Ijustlikedthename · 19/02/2021 20:49

Dylan is lovely! Goes well with middle and surname too

RubysArms · 19/02/2021 21:21

@KirstenBlest

Sorry I meant first name.

Alan and Arnold go well with Bennett.

What if you gave birth to an Alan Bennett and he didn't turn out to be a droll observer of English eccentricities? It would be such a disappointment.

I think Dylan Bennett is a lovely name.

Mum2jenny · 19/02/2021 21:23

DAB?? You sure?

KirstenBlest · 19/02/2021 21:40

Or Anthony and he couldn't sing. Grin
