Our twin girl is called Jessica. We are struggling with our twin boys name. Jude or Nate were our top two. Which sounds best please? Or should I swap to James?
The twins have an older brother called Benjamin. So Benjamin, Jessica and...

I'm getting too invested in this!! My first 3 were unitentally named L, M, K so when I was expecting 4 we wanted a J or a N name!!

itsgettingwierd · 14/02/2021 20:07

Benjamin, Jessica and

Joseph
Thomas
Joshua
Matthew
Henry

I love your name choices and think you need nice classic names to go with them.

I also like James.

lottiegarbanzo · 14/02/2021 20:14

James sounds way too samey. J from Jessica, 'm' sound from Benjamin. The 'jam' in Benjamin already sounds like James. Almost as if James is a diminutive of Benjamin.

Nate (Nathaniel) is cool. Jude's nice but I wouldn't go for matching initials.

Benjamin, Jessica and... Oliver.

Whatsyourflava · 14/02/2021 21:07

James and Jessica is perfect

I love Nate and Jude too though

CoffeeRunner · 14/02/2021 21:10

@Kate5789

Does Jessie and James sound wrong together?
It’s fine if you don’t play much PokemonGo.
CoffeeRunner · 14/02/2021 21:12

Name wise. I think Benjamin, Jessica & Nate sounds lovely.

I like short names anyway, and things do tend to end up shortened, so Ben, Jess & Nate as the grow up.

ShouldHaveCouldHaveWouldHave · 14/02/2021 21:14

Nate is my favourite. James is too matchy with Jessica, Jude is too popular.

Lotsachocolateplease · 14/02/2021 21:17

I feel like the boy twins name should have the same syllables. That’s just my personal preference.
So
Jessica and Nathaniel - Jess and Nate
Jessica and Oliver
Jessica and Nicholas
Jessica and Zachary
Jessica and Tobias

Kate5789 · 14/02/2021 21:24

Thanks everyone. James or Nate seem to be the finalists. I daren’t open up to more names as I’m driving myself mad!

How exciting to have twins. I think Jude is growing in popularity because it’s such a great standalone name. That said, it’s still not common. Ben, Jess & Jude. Perfect.

2021WillBeGreat · 14/02/2021 21:28

I have to say I love Jude!

fruitpastille · 14/02/2021 22:15

I don't think you should have Jessie and James (outlaw). Nathaniel/Nate and Jude are both great.

Firebird83 · 15/02/2021 00:57

Jessica and James. Don’t like Nate as a full name.

Rubybluesy · 15/02/2021 01:06

Prefer Nathan to Nate

Smallonesaremorejuicy · 15/02/2021 02:50

Don’t like Jude
James is great
Nate but Nathaniel not Nathan on bc

AviciaJones · 15/02/2021 02:57

The same initials are too much, especially for twins. Nate sounds like a shortened version for Nathan or Nathaniel.

Benjamin, Jessica and Nathaniel sounds good. Then if you prefer they can all be shortened to Ben, Jess and Nate.

CattyCactus · 15/02/2021 03:39

If Jessica ends up shortened to Jessie, then I’d rule out James.
Jessie / James twins - just no cos of the outlaw.
And to give them individuality with their names.
J. Surname.

CattyCactus · 15/02/2021 03:40

Nathaniel nn Nat
Or what about Sebastian

felulageller · 15/02/2021 09:39

Jessica James sounds like one person.

So no boys names that can be surnames.

AllMyPrettyOnes · 15/02/2021 11:27

@felulageller

Jessica James sounds like one person.

So no boys names that can be surnames.

Agreed.

Much prefer Nate

TheWomanTheyCallJayne · 15/02/2021 11:31

Jessie and James makes me think of him
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesse_James

I do like James though, I have one.

Bubbles1st · 15/02/2021 11:40

Jesse James was an American outlaw, I don't think James is the best option as it just sounds to familiar to me as person on their own.
I like Nate

CharlieBoo · 15/02/2021 22:06

James and Jessica is just gorgeous! Much much nicer than Jude xxx
