Marcella is dreadful
Lucie is misspelled - I like Lucy but it's common
Elizabeth is lovely and lots of nice shortenings
Autumn is dreadful

Elizabeth

Muskox · 15/02/2021 18:06

Elizabeth is my favourite (nickname Libby or Beth rather than Lizzie). Then Autumn and Lucy (prefer it spelt with a y).

Not keen on Marcella.

lalalalands · 15/02/2021 18:08

Marcella - not my taste personally but interesting and nice enough, it would stand out

Lucie - would spell Lucy

Elizabeth - beautiful - my favourite of these

Autumn - naff

Yutes · 15/02/2021 18:15

I really like Autumn. Not that keen on the other names

pinkandblueflowers · 15/02/2021 18:39

Elizabeth

Kanaloa · 15/02/2021 18:42

Elizabeth is beautiful, you just can’t go wrong with such a timeless classic. Lucie is ok, I do prefer Lucia. Not keen on Marcella or Autumn really but none of them are awful.

Lobsterquadrille2 · 15/02/2021 18:45

Elizabeth is a lovely classic name. Lucy with that spelling is nice but not as strong. Reminiscent of Lucy Honeychurch and the girl in Narnia.

Oregano20 · 15/02/2021 19:15

Autumn. :)

Serin · 15/02/2021 19:24

Lucy
Elizabeth
Autumn
Marcella

Dyinghouseplant · 15/02/2021 22:45

Definitely Elizabeth, classic.
Elizabeth Autumn maybe?

TippledPink · 15/02/2021 22:50

I like Lucie or Autumn.

Elizabeth is my middle name- I absolutely hate it. Listen to the people on this thread who have this name 😂 I see I am not the only one who doesn't like it as their name.

VenusClapTrap · 15/02/2021 23:13

I like Eliza and Elspeth, but find Elizabeth very frumpy.

Lucy is ok. Not Lucie.

I’m not keen on Marcella or Autumn.

Catra · 15/02/2021 23:59

I love Marcella and Autumn.
Elizabeth and Lucy are nice names but are too popular for my tastes.

Mally2020 · 16/02/2021 02:08

Don't like the other two but do like Lucie or marcie or ella

AquaTorfana · 16/02/2021 02:32

Elizabeth

AviciaJones · 16/02/2021 02:36

Elizabeth is nice and I like Lucy but prefer Luella. I love Marielle instead of Marcella, mostly because I wouldn’t like Marcie as a nickname. I wouldn’t choose Autumn.

Smallonesaremorejuicy · 16/02/2021 03:02

Lucie & Elizabeth , beautiful Classic names .

Gentlerose30 · 17/02/2021 08:25

Elizabeth is my middle name and I like it!

AdaColeman · 17/02/2021 08:37

I'm not keen on Autumn at all, and think that Lucie will have to continually correct the spelling of her name, though I do like Lucy.

Elizabeth is lovely, as is Marcella which is more unusual, so I'd probably use Marcella.

Lanique · 17/02/2021 08:45

Elizabeth Autumn.

If not Elizabeth Lucy.

Not keen on Marcella.

babbaloushka · 17/02/2021 09:46

I really like Lucia over Lucie, she could still have it as a nickname.

MimiDaisy11 · 17/02/2021 10:36

Is there a pronunciation difference between Lucy and Lucie? I'd just stick to Lucy if not as it will get spelt that way. Some people mentioned Lucia which I like (although there's not one European pronunciation. In Spain it's pronounced like Lu-see-a, which is what I've known it as). Lucinda is also nice and could have the nickname Lucy or Cindy.

I think Marcella is nice and haven't met any before. I think of GOT but she was a minor character and people are unlikely to make that connection I'd imagine.

Elizabeth is good as there are lots of possible nicknames from it.

I think Autumn is a different style but I do think it's quite sweet. A little hippy for me but not too much.

tiredteacher100 · 17/02/2021 10:40

Marcella, lovely! Could shorten to Marcie which is nice too

Peaseblossom22 · 17/02/2021 10:43

Definitely not Marcella, it just contours up images of brassy women in fishnets for me.

Autumn is fine as long as you are born between September and November. Elizabeth is a classic and Lucie is lovely , I don’t think the spelling issue is any more of a problem than Catherine/Katherine
